Bad Bunny Summarizes His Future in Five Words: 'Happy, Retired, Eating Tripletas'
On Jan. 28, Bad Bunny, 31, appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and in a round of "The Colbert Questionert" described his life in the future in five words: "Happy, retired, eating, tripletas (a Puerto Rican sandwich), living in Puerto Rico."
Earlier in the game the Puerto Rican star recalled one of his earliest memories — an early crush at age 4. "I remember I used to watch a picture of a girl. It was in a book. My mom had a book, like a picture book. There was a picture of a girl and she was my crush," he said, adding he "used to cry for that."
During the rapid-fire segment he also said he is definitely a dog person and answered questions about his favorite and least favorite smells and the best sandwich, among other things.
The appearance comes as Bad Bunny is nominated in six categories at the 2026 Grammy Awards; PEOPLE noted he is the first Spanish-language artist nominated in three major categories. It also arrives just over a week before his Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show; Apple Music released a trailer and a press release saying the film "serves as an open invitation, welcoming the entire world" to his performance.
Next up for Bad Bunny: the Grammys on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026 (airing on CBS and Paramount+), followed by the Super Bowl Halftime Show at Levi's Stadium on Feb. 8 (airing live on NBC, Telemundo and Peacock). PEOPLE's special edition on his career hits newsstands Jan. 30.
