Bad Bunny wins Grammy album of the year for 'Debí Tirar Más Fotos'
Bad Bunny won the Grammy for album of the year on Feb. 1, 2026, taking the top prize at the 68th Grammys for Debí Tirar Más Fotos and becoming the first Latin artist to win the award in the ceremony’s history. The 31-year-old Puerto Rican defeated nominees Justin Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter, Clipse, Lady Gaga, Kendrick Lamar, Leon Thomas and Tyler, the Creator.
He came into the night with six nominations and left with three wins, including album of the year, best música urbana album and best global performance. While accepting the album award he said, "I want to dedicate this award to all the people that had to leave their homeland, their country, to follow their dreams," giving most of his remarks in Spanish.
Earlier in the night, after winning best música urbana album, he said, "Before I say thanks to God, I’m going to say ICE out," and added, "We’re not savage, we’re not animals, we’re not aliens. We are humans, and we are Americans." Recorded entirely in Puerto Rico, Debí Tirar Más Fotos is a 17-song album that blends salsa, Puerto Rican folk music and roots forms such as bomba and plena with reggaeton and Latin trap.
