Baki-Dou: The Invincible Samurai — Baki to face Miyamoto Musashi on Netflix Feb. 26
Baki-Dou: The Invincible Samurai arrives on Netflix on Feb. 26, bringing a time-crossing showdown that pits Baki Hanma against legendary samurai Miyamoto Musashi.
After the end of his brutal battle with his father, Yujiro Hanma, Baki and the rest of the legendary fighters find themselves strangely restless. The franchise has already pushed limits with encounters like Pickle the caveman and a monster strong enough to overpower dinosaurs.
A secret plan begins to take shape 364 meters beneath Tokyo Skytree: the resurrection of Miyamoto Musashi, the undefeated samurai from the 1600s, famous for his twin-blade style and his legendary 62 duels.
As warriors like Doppo Orochi, Jack Hanma, and Kaoru Hanayama prepare to reenter the fray, Baki faces Musashi in what the report calls an unprecedented collision between eras — a mixed martial arts battle that literally crosses time and space.
Baki-Dou is based on the manga of the same name by Keisuke Itagaki, originally serialized in Weekly Shonen Champion from 2014 to 2018, and continues the franchise’s focus on Baki’s quest to surpass his father. The new series arrives on Netflix on Feb. 26.
