Devora Wilde has backed her Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 co-star Charlie Cox, saying performance capture workers need more recognition and that it can be hard to separate voice and mocap work, she told Radio Times Gaming. Wilde echoed comments Cox made after his Game Awards nomination, when he credited the character’s performance largely to mocap artist Maxence Cazorla: "So any nomination or any credit I get, I really have to give to him, because I believe that the performance of that character is really down to him, and my voice was just part of that process," Cox said.

Wilde, who voiced Clea in the French RPG, said: "It's quite hard to separate the two and do one without the other. I mean, you couldn't do performance capture without being a trained actor and really going through the whole emotions yourself. So, yeah, I have massive respect for what they do.

Just like Charlie says, they do need more recognition. It's a whole world." She also highlighted the role of stunt performers who provide mocap for physically demanding actions voice actors may not perform, citing sword fights and flips. Wilde joked that the scene where Lae'zel flips off a ship "wasn't me.
