Bayern: Harry Kane not yet part of contract negotiations
Bayern Munich's sporting director Max Eberl gave a cautious update on Harry Kane's future, saying the club had been "in talks" but that formal negotiations have not begun. "I said we were in talks, but the negotiations have not started yet. We are in close contact with Harry, and further steps will follow." Kane left Tottenham in 2023 as their all-time leading scorer and has since scored 123 goals in 129 appearances for Bayern, picking up two Golden Boots and a Bundesliga title.
His trophy curse has been lifted in Munich, and the club are understandably reluctant to part with a talismanic presence. The striker has indicated he is open to extending his stay, calling the move "one of the best decisions of my life" and adding that he is "quite open to staying longer." He noted he has 18 months left on his contract and expected discussions in the future.
Moves elsewhere have been mooted, with links to Spain and interest from other top clubs mentioned, while an exit clause would allow Kane to be acquired for £57m in 2026.
