Goal reports Bayern Munich are increasingly confident that England striker Harry Kane will sign a contract extension despite ongoing transfer speculation.

Kane’s current deal runs until 2027 and includes release clauses that can be triggered this year. An update from Christian Falk for Sport Bild said there were "no new talks during the winter break," and noted Kane told supporters at a Bayern fan club he was feeling "very confident" — earlier he had said staying was "100 per cent possible." Falk added that the club wants to extend the contract but is in no hurry, that Kane still has a clause until the end of January which he does not want to activate, and that Bayern plan to wait until the clause expires before holding further talks.

Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen said he was pleased by Kane’s public comments and that the club and player will speak "at the appropriate and right time," praising the striker’s importance and his family’s comfort at the club. Falk also recalled Kane turned down a lucrative Saudi offer to join Bayern with the aim of winning more trophies, but no new agreement on fresh terms has been announced.
