Benfica beat Real Madrid 4-2 after Trubin stoppage header; Mbappe scores twice

Benfica produced a dramatic 4-2 victory over Real Madrid at Estadio da Luz on Wednesday, capped by goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin's stoppage-time header, and the result means Alvaro Arbeloa's side will now face a play-off to reach the Champions League last-16, according to GOAL. The match turned further in stoppage time when Raul Asencio and Rodrygo were both sent off, and Trubin then nodded home from a free-kick to seal the win for Benfica, according to GOAL. GOAL's player ratings highlighted Madrid's struggles: Mbappe was the side's top performer with an 8/10, while Thibaut Courtois was graded 5/10 and both Raul Asencio and Rodrygo received 4/10 for their displays and the latter's dismissal.

Manager Alvaro Arbeloa was given a 4/10 as GOAL judged the selection and performance to have been frail.
