Benjamin Levy Aguilar and Arienne Mandi’s longtime friendship returns on Chicago P.D. Season 13

Nbc reports that Benjamin Levy Aguilar and Arienne Mandi — who play Dante Torres and Eva Imani on Chicago P.D. — are longtime friends whose real-life bond has carried onto Season 13.

The two first met in Los Angeles in a 2020 jiu-jitsu class, an origin they recalled in an Instagram video where Mandi said Aguilar was "late every single time" before they became training partners, realized they were both actors and "just became the best of friends." Aguilar added that "the first time we did a scene together, we couldn't lock eyes because it was, like, chaos." In a 2025 interview, Mandi called him one of her "closest" friends and said they helped each other with self-tapes and training.

Their on-screen reunion comes as Imani settles into the Intelligence Unit in Season 13; the pair teamed up in the episode "Faith," where Imani re-examined a cold case and helped Torres track down a murderous cop. Mandi said having Aguilar on set "made the welcome to Chicago just that much warmer," and Season 13 airs Wednesdays at 10/9c and the next day on Peacock.
