Best new Xbox Game Pass games to play this weekend
Game Pass closed out 2025 on shaky footing after a price increase, but subscribers who stuck with it into 2026 have been met with a steady stream of notable additions. February continues that trend, and this week’s picks highlight three recent arrivals: a revitalized shooter, a classic RPG, and an inventive indie.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, a 2023 entry set in the same cinematic universe as James Cameron’s films, casts you as a Na’vi and leans on Ubisoft’s familiar open-world formula while delivering very high production values. Movement and perspective sell the idea of being a ten-foot-tall, feline humanoid, and Pandora’s forests remain jaw-droppingly gorgeous; a recent update also added third-person play, making traversal especially delightful.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt — Complete Edition is one of those RPGs it’s easy to savor rather than finish. Many players have completed the main story and Hearts of Stone while holding back Blood and Wine, and with rumors of more DLC, it’s a fine time to revisit Geralt.
