Bethesda puts Indiana Jones on a Switch 2 cart while others ship code-in-box
Details reported by Gamesradar say Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition, Oblivion Remastered, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle are coming to Switch 2, but only Indiana Jones is receiving a physical game cartridge. MachineGames and publisher Bethesda confirmed on Twitter that "the game is on Game Card," and Indiana Jones and the Order of Giants DLC launch May 12 on Switch 2 both physically and digitally.
Bethesda says Oblivion Remastered will get a digital release on Switch 2 "later this year," with a code-in-box physical edition planned for a later date. Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition, which includes six official DLCs and Creation Club content, is due as a digital release on February 28 and as a code-in-box physical release on April 28.
The article notes it is unclear why Indiana Jones is the only title getting a proper physical cart while Fallout 4 and Oblivion receive code-in-box editions, and describes those code-in-box releases as a disappointment for physical media diehards compared with game-key cards that include a cartridge.
