Binge Netflix's The Gentlemen before Guy Ritchie's Season 2 — Collider

Guy Ritchie has experienced a creative comeback in the 2020s, becoming more productive and returning to the sharp, snarky gangster stories that defined his early work. He has extended that sensibility into television, and The Gentlemen distills much of what makes his storytelling distinctive.

The Gentlemen expands the film’s universe around the Horniman family. After patriarch Archibald dies, the estate passes to youngest son Eddie, played by Theo James, leaving older brother Freddie sidelined. Eddie, a former British Army veteran, discovers his father’s large debt to Tommy Dixon while rival kingpin Bobby Glass, the imprisoned gangster’s daughter Susan, and American billionaire Stanley Johnson all threaten the family’s hold on their cannabis empire.

The series treats the illegal trade like a prestige family business and shows how Eddie’s military and peacekeeping experience translates to running it.
