Bloober Team says new game is not a Rule of Rose remake
On Feb. 2, 2026, Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno confirmed the studio’s forthcoming project is not a remake of Punchline’s 2006 game Rule of Rose, after a recent teaser prompted fan speculation.
The teaser, posted at the curiously named remosdneulserorehsoovamceyerd.com, features a stylized red rose that drips blood when interacted with and the line, "Some things never leave the walls. They only learn to wait." A small play button sits between the rose and the text.
Clicking the button plays a distorted male voice, sometimes interrupted by static, reciting: "Thou art sick. … Invisible … flies at night. Howling storm … Has found out … Thy bed of crimson joy … Dark secret …Thy life destroyed."
Fans connected the rose imagery to Rule of Rose’s box art and speculated Bloober — which handled the 2024 Silent Hill 2 remake and has an in-progress Silent Hill remake — might be planning another Japanese horror remake. Babieno pushed back, writing on LinkedIn, "Nice guess, but no," according to FRVR.
A timer on the teaser page appears to be counting down to Valentine’s Day, when Bloober will likely reveal more; beyond the teaser and Babieno’s denial, details about the new project remain sparse.
