‘Bosch’ and ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ Will Officially Crossover in November — Collider

Michael Connelly has officially announced a brand-new novel, The Hollow: A Bosch Novel, arriving November 3 — and this one might be the most personal case Bosch has ever taken on. Yes, there’s a crossover with his half-brother Mickey Haller, but this isn’t your typical courtroom-meets-crime-scene team-up.

This time, it’s about ghosts. The childhood kind. Bosch has been undergoing cancer treatment across the last few books, and while he’s technically retired from the LAPD, retirement has never really stuck. He’s forced to confront the darkest chapter of his past — the years he spent as a ward of the state after his mother was murdered.

When Harry Bosch was eleven years old, his mother was murdered and he became a ward of the state, housed in MacLaren Children's Center, a notorious facility where abuse was rampant. Decades after its closure, a massive class action lawsuit has resulted in a multibillion-dollar settlement for former residents.
