Pagesix reported that Brooklyn Beckham broke his silence on Jan. 19, 2026, posting a lengthy Instagram statement in which he accused his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, of an ongoing estrangement he ties to their alleged dislike of his wife, Nicola Peltz, dating back to before their April 2022 wedding.

In the statement, he alleged his parents pressured him weeks before the wedding to sign away rights to his name, that Victoria backed out of designing Peltz’s dress at the last minute, and that Victoria hijacked his planned first dance, leaving him feeling “humiliated.” He also said family members told him Peltz was “not blood” and described a May 2025 incident in which he and Peltz flew to London but were allegedly refused private time with David unless it was at the latter’s 50th birthday party; Brooklyn wrote that David later agreed to meet only if Peltz was not invited.

He disputed reports that his wife controls him and said the couple renewed their vows in August 2025 without the wider Beckham family present, then blocked family members on Instagram in December 2025. Brooklyn wrote that he does not want to reconcile, saying stepping away has eased his anxiety and accusing his parents and their teams of feeding the press false narratives to preserve a facade.
