BTS announced a 79-date comeback tour that will span five continents over about 11 months, the seven-member K-pop band said. The group also plans to release its fifth full-length album on March 20.

Big Hit Music said the new album contains 14 tracks and was “packed with honest stories,” adding that the members were deeply involved in creating the songs. The tour is scheduled to begin three weeks after the album’s release in South Korea.

The announcement follows a multi-year hiatus during which members pursued solo projects and completed mandatory military service. The band’s enlistments began in December 2022 with Jin; J-Hope, Suga, RM and V followed, and Jimin and Jungkook began service in December 2023. Suga was the last to be discharged, in June.

In April, after concerts in South Korea and Japan, BTS will visit Tampa, El Paso, Stanford (Calif.), Las Vegas and Mexico City, then spend much of June and July in Europe before returning to North America for summer dates in East Rutherford, Foxborough, Baltimore, Arlington (Texas), Toronto, Chicago and Los Angeles.
