People reports all seven members of K-pop group BTS completed their mandatory South Korean military service in June 2025 and have announced a new album and world tour, with the album set to debut in March 2026 and the tour beginning in April 2026.

Since debuting in June 2013, BTS — RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook — became a global act and celebrated its 12th anniversary in June 2025. Their most recent group release was the 2022 anthology Proof, and during the hiatus the members pursued solo work: RM issued Indigo (December 2022) and Right Place, Wrong Person (May 2024); Jin released solo albums Happy (November 2024) and Echo (May 2025) and completed a solo world tour in August 2025; SUGA released D-Day (April 2023) and toured the U.S.; j-hope released Jack in the Box (July 2022), performed at Lollapalooza and led a solo tour from February to June 2025; Jimin released Face (March 2023) and Muse (July 2024); V released Layover (September 2023) and a duet, "Winter Ahead" (November 2024); and Jungkook released Golden (November 2023) with multiple charting singles.

After finishing their enlistments in June 2025, the seven reunited on a livestream the following month to announce the new album and tour; the group later specified the album will debut in March 2026 and the world tour will start in April 2026.
