Bungie responds as raiders force each other to solo-kill The Witness
Some Destiny 2 players have revived a brutal challenge: either solo-kill the raid boss The Witness or face a humiliating punishment. The stunt, nicknamed "Solo Witness or Drink Pee," has been attempted and completed by enough raiders to draw attention.
Bungie's Twitch account addressed the matter in a brief comment shared to X/Twitter, saying, "We will not be typing that out on the branded account."
Soloing the encounter is far from straightforward. Even if a player can reliably navigate mechanics to reach the DPS phases—something solo raiders generally struggle with because of the random nature of many fights—they still must deal roughly six players' worth of damage within the rage window that will automatically end the fight.
For most people that task is grueling and unpleasant, an experience few would willingly opt into, which is precisely the point of the challenge and its extreme penalty.
