Business Insider said it had a standout week at Davos 2026, using on-the-ground reporting, live products, and events to amplify its journalism on the world stage, according to a recap by editor Barbara Peng.

The newsroom credited seamless collaboration between reporters in Davos and the global team and new live-blog capabilities that powered 180 live posts and helped Business Insider trend at the top of Google results for Davos.

Business Insider launched a pop-up newsletter, Davos Diary, anchored by Dan DeFrancesco, which drew more than 3,000 sign-ups and an “extraordinarily high” return-visit rate — a format the outlet said it plans to replicate for other major moments.

Editorial highlights included Ben Bergman’s first-person reporting from inside President Donald Trump’s Davos speech, which Business Insider said was its top story of the week and led to two CNN appearances, plus coverage from inside USA House and lighter pieces on Davos street style and CEO tips.

Business Insider also ran three events — a Future of Work Breakfast (moderated by Aki Ito, presented by Indeed), a Future in Focus Dinner (moderated by Jamie Heller, presented by ServiceNow), and an Executive Reception at the Grandhotel Belvédère (presented by PMI) that welcomed 80+ senior leaders — and said it is already in talks about Davos 2027, with BI Live trending +29% above goal for Q1.
