Carlo Ancelotti says he will renew Brazil contract through 2030 — Goal

Carlo Ancelotti has revealed he intends to sign a new Brazil contract to keep him as manager beyond the 2026 World Cup. The new deal would keep Ancelotti in the role until the 2030 World Cup and is expected to be signed in the coming weeks, with the former Real Madrid boss relishing his new role in charge of the record five-time world champions.

He said when asked about his future with Brazil: “I believe I will renew for four years with Brazil. It’s a new job, I like it a lot.” Ancelotti began his first stint in international management in May 2025 following a successful four-year period as Real Madrid manager.

Brazil approach the upcoming World Cup as one of the favourites, though they are viewed by many as slightly behind the front-runners; their current world ranking of fifth sees them behind Spain, Argentina, France and England. They have not won the World Cup since 2002, and with Ancelotti set to be at the helm for the next two World Cups they will fancy their chances of ending a 24-year wait.
