Catherine O’Hara laid to rest in private ceremony with family and friends
Catherine O’Hara’s closest friends and family gathered for a private memorial at St. Martin of Tours Church in Los Angeles on Saturday, Feb. 14. Actress Kelly Lynch posted a photo of the funeral booklet and wrote, "Rest in peace darling Catherine," adding a Raymond Carver passage: "And did you get what you wanted from this life, even so?
I did. And what did you want? To call myself beloved, to feel myself beloved on the earth." O’Hara died at her home in Los Angeles following a brief illness on Jan. 30; she was 71, her agency said. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call at her Brentwood home around 4:48 a.m.
after she experienced "breathing difficulty," and she was transported to the hospital in "serious" condition. The County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health later listed a pulmonary embolism as the immediate cause of death, with rectal cancer as the underlying cause.
