Paris Saint-Germain overturned a two-goal deficit to beat 10-man Monaco 3-2 in the first leg of their playoff tie. Monaco scored inside the opening minute after Nuno Mendes had a stray pass cut out, and Folarin Balogun grabbed a double to make it 2-0 by the 18th minute.

Ousmane Dembélé went off injured after 27 minutes and Désiré Doué, introduced from the bench, struck with his first touch in the 29th minute, then set up Achraf Hakimi for the equaliser before the break. Aleksandr Golovin was shown a red card in the 48th minute after the referee upgraded his original caution following a touchline-screen review of a studs-up tackle on Vitinha, leaving Monaco down to 10 men.

PSG dominated the remainder of the match and Doué produced the winner in the 67th minute, having seen one earlier shot parried by Philipp Köhn; Vitinha had earlier missed a penalty saved by Köhn. Galatasaray dismantled 10-man Juventus 5-2 in their first leg, with Gabriel Sara and Noa Lang prominent.
