Movieweb reports that Channing Tatum said he worried his young Josephine co-star would think he was actually mad during filming, comments he made at a Q&A following the film's Sundance Film Festival premiere yesterday (Jan. 23) at the Eccles Theater in Utah.

In Josephine, Tatum plays Damien, the father of the eight-year-old title character who witnesses a terrible assault in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park and then develops paranoia. After the screening, director Beth de Araújo, Tatum, Mason Reeves (Josephine) and co-star Gemma Chan (Claire) took part in a Q&A, where Tatum said he was "more concerned with her not thinking that I was actually mad at her. I was like, 'You know I was just acting, right?'" Referring to Reeves, Entertainment Weekly reports she was discovered at a farmer's market; Reeves replied on stage, "He kept asking me about it, and I was like, 'I'm fine!'" and Tatum added, "I was so scared."

The film's release date is listed as January 23, 2026, with a runtime of 120 minutes. It is directed and written by Beth de Araújo and produced by David Kaplan, Joshua Beirne-Golden, Mark H. Rapaport, Beth de Araújo, Crystine Zhang, Josh Peters and Marina Stabile; credited cast includes Mason Reeves, Channing Tatum, Gemma Chan and Philip Ettinger.
