On February 8, 2026, Charlie Puth will sing "The Star-Spangled Banner" to open Super Bowl LX, adding the national anthem to a résumé that already includes three albums (with a fourth on the way), multiple Grammy nominations, several Billboard Music Awards, a runaway #1 hit and millions of fans.

Puth first gained attention uploading acoustic covers to YouTube in 2009 at age 17, with multiple appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2011 and 2012. He built a reputation as a songwriter, writing theme songs and jingles for other creators and co-writing Pitbull’s "Celebrate," featured in the film Penguins of Madagascar.

Many consider his arrival moment to be Wiz Khalifa’s "See You Again," on which Puth is credited as co-writer, producer and singer; the track reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and held that spot for a record-tying 12 weeks.
