Published 1 minute ago, Collider reported that Cher’s 1998 single "Believe" climbed to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for four consecutive weeks and took over 20 countries.

The song marked a major reinvention for Cher: she was 52 when "Believe" was released and embraced a eurodance sound built on electronic beats, synth hooks and prominent Auto-Tune used as an artistic effect rather than purely corrective processing. The single became her most successful to date, won Best Dance Recording at the 42nd Annual Grammy Awards, and is noted for its empowering post‑breakup message.

"Believe" also became a gay anthem widely played in clubs and drag shows and joined a catalog of iconic hits such as "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)", "If I Could Turn Back Time", "Dark Lady" and "Strong Enough". The report says the track helped redefine pop production in the late 1990s and is bound to remain a cultural touchstone.
