Chiellini and Comolli suspended after tunnel clash with referee

Juventus directors Giorgio Chiellini and Damien Comolli have been hit with suspensions and fines after a heated half-time confrontation with referee Federico La Penna at San Siro, following Pierre Kalulu’s dismissal. Comolli received the harshest sanction: a ban from all football activities until March 31, 2026, and a €15,000 fine.

The match report says he displayed an "aggressive and seriously intimidating attitude," attempted to make physical contact with the official and used "gravely insulting" language, only being restrained by the coaching staff and other club employees. Chiellini was suspended from official duties until February 27, 2026.

His conduct was judged less physically threatening but described as challenging the referee’s performance in a "disrespectful manner" and directing "offensive criticisms" at the assistant referees.
