Chinese modder builds triangular console housing PS5, Xbox and Switch 2
Kotaku reports Chinese tech and computer expert 小宁子 XNZ has built a triangular "Ningtendo PXBOX 5" that contains a PS5, an Xbox, and a Switch 2, and can swap between them with the press of a button.
First spotted by Tom’s Hardware, XNZ said the idea came from wanting to play various console-exclusive games without having to get up and manually power each machine on and off. The design is inspired by the 2013 Apple Mac Pro’s triangular internal layout; a fan at the bottom cools the consoles, and XNZ used lost-wax casting to create the high-end triangular metal component since a conventional triangular heatsink would be expensive.
The finished device works but may not be the most practical: its power supply allows only one console at a time to play while the others idle, and a large button on top switches the HDMI input. The report notes that buying the consoles and an HDMI switcher would likely be easier and cheaper, though not as visually ambitious as the Ningtendo PXBOX 5.
