Chipolo’s One Point and Card Point bring Google Find My Device support to Android for $21–$23
Slovenia-based Chipolo has released two Bluetooth "finder" devices for Android users: the One Point fob and the Card Point card, priced at $21 and $23 respectively, that integrate with Google’s Find My Device network, ZDNET reported. The One Point is a 37.9mm (1.49in) fob, 6.4mm (0.25in) thick, IPX5 splashproof and powered by a user-replaceable CR2032 coin cell expected to last about a year.
The Card Point measures 85.1 x 53.6mm (3.35 x 2.11in) and is 2.4mm (0.09in) thick; it is also IPX5 splashproof but uses a non-user-replaceable battery to achieve its thin profile. Both devices can trigger a 105dB speaker and have a sound-activation range of about 200ft/60m, and setup is a one-tap process started by squeezing the tag.
ZDNET's review said the finders are highly accurate, robust and integrate well with the Google ecosystem, calling them effective Android alternatives to Apple’s AirTags. The reviewer reported successful real-world tests locating tags in hidden or hard-to-reach places and gave the devices a positive assessment for usability, accuracy and longevity.
Chipolo offers a registration benefit: owners who add a finder in the Google Find My Device app receive an email with a 50% discount code for a new finder in two years and can return the old unit for free recycling.
