Early responses have been strong for Chris Hemsworth’s upcoming heist thriller Crime 101, which pairs him with Mark Ruffalo and is due to debut next week. One critic called it "the kind of classy heist thriller we don’t see much of these days," while another praised it as "slickly crafted, tightly written, and filled to the brim with compelling characters and a moody, immersive LA atmosphere." Some viewers are even drawing comparisons to Michael Mann’s Heat.

That renewed interest has sent fans back to one of Hemsworth’s most divisive films, Blackhat. Directed by Michael Mann and written by Morgan Davis Foehl, the action thriller co-stars Viola Davis, Tang Wei, and Holt McCallany, with Hemsworth playing convicted hacker Nick Hathaway, released to help hunt a dangerous cybercriminal.
