Pagesix reports Todd and Julie Chrisley drew criticism after a Wednesday night appearance on The Masked Singer in which they were revealed as the Croissants.

The pair performed on the Season 14 premiere, singing Elvis Presley’s 'Jailhouse Rock' while wearing black-and-white striped costumes described as reminiscent of 1820s prison jumpsuits. Viewers took to social media to criticize the song and outfits, with comments including 'So two felons? Seriously?', 'Well they should be in and [sic] prison instead of on stage,' and 'Look they still like wearing stripes !!'

Todd defended the choice to Us Weekly, saying 'Julie was like, "I’m not doing that." And I said, "Why? It’s not like the whole world doesn’t know. I don’t give a s—t, so let’s just do it. It’ll be fun,"' and adding 'I don’t want to make light of a very tragic situation, but listen, we survived it.' The couple were convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion in June 2022; Todd was sentenced to 12 years and Julie seven years, and they served 28 months before President Trump pardoned them in May 2025. Their attorney said a 'deep injustice' was corrected, and the pardon drew public backlash including comments on The View, where Joy Behar criticized the move and Ana Navarro called it 'not ethical.'
