Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud debuted a new haircut in a video shared to Instagram by salon owner Ashley Means, in which he cut off his long locs and smiled while flashing two peace signs. Means wrote alongside the post, "Sometimes growth means letting go. Endings make room for elevation. New chapter unlocked."

The appearance change comes two weeks after the Texans' 28-16 AFC divisional-round loss to the New England Patriots, a game in which Stroud threw four interceptions and finished 20 of 47 for 212 yards and one touchdown. The report notes he also became the first quarterback to have five or more interceptions in a single postseason, according to ESPN.

After the game Stroud said, "I feel like I let people down," and expressed that the result hurt. He declined an invitation to the Pro Bowl as he aims to move on and said he is still growing in the league and focused on learning and improving his career.
