A report from Theguardian says Claire Tabouret was chosen from more than 100 artists to design six new stained-glass windows for Notre Dame, a commission that follows the cathedral's reopening in 2024 and is estimated to cost €4m. The plan has received support from the French president and Paris's archbishop but has also provoked protests, petitions and appeals to the courts and to heritage authorities.

Tabouret's designs trace the Pentecost narrative with figurative groups, vivid landscapes and a palette of blues, reds, greens and purples; she says she submitted 60 sketches for the six-window commission.
