Clarice, the 2021 sequel TV series to The Silence of the Lambs, has climbed into Amazon Prime Video’s global top 10 and is currently sitting at No. 8, Collider reported on Jan. 28, 2026.

Set between the 1991 film and 2001’s Hannibal, Clarice was created by Alex Kurtzman and Jenny Lumet and stars Rebecca Breeds as FBI Agent Clarice Starling, alongside Michael Cudlitz, Lucca De Oliveira, Devyn A. Tyler, Kal Penn, Nick Sandow and Marnee Carpenter. The show ran for one 13-episode season on CBS from February 11 to June 24, 2021.

Collider says the series is at #8 on Prime Video and has appeared on the platform’s charts this past week in Australia, Austria, Denmark, Finland, New Zealand, Poland, Sweden and the UK.

The show’s initial reception was mixed: it holds a 58% audience score and a 42% critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The site’s overall consensus, quoted by Collider, reads: 'Effectively grim, but narratively bland, Clarice is a disturbingly safe procedural that lets down both its talented cast and source material.'

CBS explored relocating Clarice to Paramount+ for a second season in May 2021, but by June that move was described as "unlikely," and as of 2025 the series had not been officially cancelled. It currently streams on Amazon Prime Video, and it remains unclear whether the recent streaming surge will affect the show’s future status.
