Code Vein 2 launches Jan 29 — regional unlock times and preload info
Code Vein 2 launches at 3 p.m. PST on January 29, with the deluxe edition having unlocked three days earlier for owners of that version.
Regional unlock times given by PC Gamer are: Los Angeles 3 p.m. PST on Thursday, January 29; New York 6 p.m. EST on Thursday, January 29; London 11 p.m. GMT on Thursday, January 29; Berlin 12 a.m. CET on Friday, January 30; Tokyo 8 a.m. JST on Friday, January 30; and Sydney 8 a.m. AEDT on Friday, January 30.
This release is the sequel to Code Vein (2019), the soulslike that many players found "solidly okay"; the new game includes guns and a motorbike, per the PC Gamer write-up.
PC Gamer reports there’s no general preloading for the standard edition. The only way to get the game onto your drive ahead of the full launch is purchasing the deluxe edition for early access, which is not the same as preloading.
The unlock times apply whether you bought the game on Steam or through the Bandai Namco Official Store, so standard-edition buyers will need to wait until their region’s listed time to begin downloading.
