Coinbase Returns to Super Bowl With Lo-Fi Karaoke Ad — Cointelegraph.com News

Coinbase returned to the Super Bowl with a lo-fi, Backstreet Boys karaoke–inspired ad. The one-minute TV spot mainly featured text animation flashing the lyrics to the Backstreet Boys' 1997 hit “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back).” Coinbase marketing chief Catherine Ferdon said the ad aimed to “bring people together for a shared experience that highlights how the crypto community has grown.” It was Coinbase’s first Super Bowl ad since 2022, when a 60-second commercial with a color-changing QR code directed to a link offering $15 in Bitcoin and was so popular it crashed the website, reportedly seeing 20 million hits in one minute.

The latest spot divided viewers online.
