Colleen Bridgit DeCourcy and Jason Leonard MacDonald were married on Dec. 24, 2025, at La Mercerie, a French restaurant in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood.

The couple first met in November 1983 during rehearsals for a production of "Guys and Dolls" at Western University in London, Ontario. They dated briefly into 1984 before their lives took different paths; Mr. MacDonald later messaged Ms. DeCourcy on LinkedIn in August 2024 with the note, "Remember that kid who used to be in love with you?" They reconnected that winter, meeting on Dec. 24, 2024, and their relationship resumed.

Their wedding, attended by 16 guests, was officiated by Joanna Coles after she was ordained by the Universal Life Church. Ms. DeCourcy wore a custom two-piece cream outfit and Mr. MacDonald a bespoke tuxedo; the couple’s first dance was to "Archie, Marry Me" by Alvvays. Their twin grandsons, Colin and Duncan, born Nov. 20 and described as the "guests of honor," attended the ceremony in elf onesies.

Before the wedding, Mr. MacDonald moved into Ms. DeCourcy’s Park Slope, Brooklyn, apartment in July and the couple had made their engagement official on Oct. 17 during a walk with their dogs. On Christmas Day the newlyweds cooked dinner at home for their children.
