Pro esports players often avoid changing peripherals before big events, but a new mouse is gaining traction at a Counter-Strike 2 tournament. Logitech recently released the X2 Superstrike, a $180 gaming mouse, and 13 of the remaining 50 players at the PGL Cluj-Napoca event have switched to it.

Logitech's site calls the device a "breakthrough in ultra-low click-latency technology." The X2 replaces traditional switches with a Haptic Inductive Trigger System (HITS), reducing click travel while providing customizable haptic feedback to shorten the time between pressing a button and registering a hit.

Feedback from players has been positive. One user tweeted the mouse is "a game changer," adding it won’t make someone skilled by itself but does deliver noticeably faster click response. The X2 can shave up to 30 milliseconds off clicks — about 20 milliseconds less than an average blink — offering a potential half-blink edge to skilled competitors.
