Pagesix reports court documents show Taylor Swift sent Blake Lively a text calling Justin Baldoni a “bitch” and saying he “knows something is coming because he’s gotten out his tiny violin,” a message the outlet said confirms Swift’s song “Cancelled” is about Lively.

The documents include the quoted text from Swift and note that “Cancelled,” on Swift’s 2025 album The Life of a Showgirl, contains the lyric “Or bring a tiny violin to a knife fight.” The filings also reproduce Lively’s texts describing herself as having “a few dragons” who “protect those I fight for,” and show those messages were produced in Baldoni’s January 2025 $400 million lawsuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds and their publicist; that suit was dismissed in June 2025.

Soon after the lawsuit was filed, Swift was subpoenaed in May 2025 to appear as a witness; the subpoena was dropped later that month. A source told People that Swift and Lively’s friendship has halted and “Taylor wants no part in this drama,” and Swift’s representative said last June that she had no involvement with the film at issue and was traveling during 2023 and 2024—while the outlet previously reported the pair have had no contact since winter 2024.
