Court documents reveal Swift and Lively texts insulting Justin Baldoni
New court documents obtained by Pagesix reveal text messages in which Blake Lively and Taylor Swift disparaged Justin Baldoni, calling him a 'clown' and, in at least one message, a 'bitch'. The filings say Lively called Baldoni 'the doofus director of my movie' in texts to Swift and asked the singer to endorse her revisions to the It Ends With Us script in April 2023; Baldoni's lawyers say Swift replied, 'I'll do anything for you!!' The documents also recount a meeting at Lively's apartment after which Lively told Swift, 'You were so epically heroic today,' and cite April 26, 2024 messages in which the pair debated the use of Swift's song and Swift wrote: 'If Justin was strategic he would be like no Taylor swift in the trailer because that gives you more power over the film, that's your ally not his.' The papers include a December 2024 exchange ahead of a New York Times article in which Swift texted, 'I think this bitch knows something is coming because he's gotten out his tiny violin,' and Lively later denied she asked Swift to endorse revisions without reading them, saying she 'sent Taylor the script on her way to my apartment' and told her she didn't have to read it.
