Craft and use teleporters in Hytale: materials, limits and controls
Polygon explains how to build a teleporter in Hytale, an item that lets players traverse long distances almost instantly.
The teleporter recipe is unlocked only after you can use an arcanist's workbench, which requires upgrading a workbench to tier 2. The upgrade needs 30 copper ingots, 20 iron ingots and 20 linen scraps. With an upgraded workbench you can craft the arcanist's workbench using 10 thorium ingots, 30 linen scraps and 20 essence of the Void; except for thorium ingots, the linen and essence can be found in the Emerald Wilds.
To build a teleporter you need 8 azure logs, 2 azure kelps and 10 stones of any kind. Crafting a teleporter gives you two portals, and you can craft unlimited teleporters but initially place only two. Increasing the number of placeable teleporters requires turning in memories at the Forgotten Temple: 2 teleporters — 0 memories; 3 teleporters — 25 memories; 4 teleporters — 50 memories; 6 teleporters — 100 memories; 8 teleporters — 200 memories.
When placed, interact with a portal to open the teleporter menu and set its Target Warp and Warp Name; the Target Warp menu selects which portal you travel to. Selecting "No Warp" makes that portal non-teleporting but still reachable from others, and approaching a portal will automatically transport you to the chosen Target Warp.
