Crimson Desert will launch without non-preorder microtransactions — Pcgamer

Crimson Desert is an upcoming singleplayer action RPG from the studio behind Black Desert Online. After playing a couple of sessions, the combat appears textured and complex, with fighting-game-tier combo potential. Players have wondered whether a cash shop would appear in the fully priced singleplayer release.

Powers says, "This is a premium game you buy one time." He notes there are preorder bonuses, but adds that "anything that's announced and coming at launch is strictly cosmetic, those are just the preorder bonuses." The official site lists those bonuses as a new shield, and the deluxe pack includes plate armour and a horse tack.

"There is not a cosmetic cash shop. This is made to be a premium experience that you buy, where you enjoy the world, and not something for microtransactions." That stance offers relief given the studio's experience with live-service games.
