Crypto PAC Fairshake reports $193M after donations from Ripple, Coinbase, a16z
Fairshake, a cryptocurrency industry-backed political action committee, disclosed it held $193 million in cash on hand ahead of the 2026 US midterm elections, saying contributions included $25 million from Ripple Labs, $24 million from a16z and a $25 million contribution from Coinbase in 2025, Fairshake spokesperson Josh Vlasto told Cointelegraph.
The PAC said the $193 million figure was its cash on hand as of January. Vlasto said the donations helped push Fairshake’s cash on hand to more than $193 million, about a 37% increase since it last disclosed holdings in July. At the time of publication, Cointelegraph reported the $193 million figure was not publicly available in filings with the Federal Election Commission.
Fairshake reported spending more than $130 million on media buys supporting candidates it considered “pro-crypto” and opposing “anti-crypto” in the 2024 federal elections. Vlasto told Cointelegraph in January 2025 the PAC was “keeping [its] foot on the gas” for elections that year and beyond, and Fairshake also spent more than $2 million on media buys for special congressional elections in three House seats in Virginia and Florida in 2025.
