Nbc reports that Dante Torres (Benjamin Levy Aguilar) appears to have his groove back on Chicago P.D. after he set out to clear an innocent man’s name and solve a mystifying cold case in Season 11.

The January 21 episode "Faith" picks up after Torres’s car accident with a prisoner transport van led him to wrongfully convicted Odell Morgan (Chad L. Coleman). After hearing a critically injured Morgan, Torres learned Morgan had been set up for the murder of his wife Simone and committed to relaunching the previously hurried homicide investigation. Torres worked the case with Intelligence Unit newcomer Eva Imani (Arienne Mandi) and traced Simone’s last hours to a dope rip gone wrong that killed a young truck driver, Noah, ultimately linking the scheme to Brian Foster, a well-known CPD detective running illegal drug rips.

After Morgan died from crash injuries, Torres visited the Morgan household, connected with Simone and Odell’s daughter Dominique, and found renewed purpose. Dominique confirmed Foster had connected with Simone the night of her death; investigators tied Foster to vehicles used to dispose of bodies in Lake Michigan, located Simone’s remains and obtained what they needed to pursue justice. Torres also returned to church for the family’s memorial and showed a cleaner, tapered look that echoed his earlier self. Fans can stay caught up on Wednesdays at 10/9c and the next day on Peacock.
