Movieweb reports Lucasfilm Animation's Star Wars: Maul — Shadow Lord will premiere on Disney+ on Monday, Apr. 6, 2026, with a two-episode launch and a first season of 10 episodes. The series was announced in April 2025 at Star Wars Celebration and was developed by Dave Filoni and Matt Michnovetz, with Michnovetz serving as head writer and Brad Rau as supervising director.

The trailer debuted on Jan. 22, and the show will air two episodes weekly, concluding with a two-part season finale on May 4. Sam Witwer returns to voice Maul. The cast also includes Gideon Adlon as Devon Izara, Wagner Moura as Captain Brander Lawson, Richard Ayoade as 2B0T, Vanessa Marshall as Rook Kast, A.J.

LoCascio as Marrok, Dennis Haysbert as Master Eeko-Dio-Daki, Chris Diamantopoulos as Looti Vario, Charlie Bushnell as Rylee Lawson, David W. Collins as Spybot, and Steve Blum as Icarus. The trailer features the Eleventh Brother, though it is currently unknown if original actor Clancy Brown will reprise the role.
