HBO's dark comedy DTF St. Louis released its first trailer ahead of a March 1, 2026 premiere, bringing David Harbour and Jason Bateman together on screen as weathermen friends Floyd and Clark who begin using the titular mobile app, abbreviated from 'Down to F***'. The trailer reveals Clark's corpse is discovered, with a detective (played by Richard Jenkins) telling a suspect, 'You introduced him to DTF St.

Louis. Your buddy's now dead...' He and Special Crimes agent Jodie Plumb (played by Joy Sunday) go to interview Floyd's widow Carol (played by Linda Cardellini), and the investigation suggests Clark and Carol may have been involved in Floyd's death. Created and showrun by Steven Conrad, the series also features Chris Perfetti and Peter Sarsgaard.

Conrad told Vanity Fair he chose St. Louis to 'weaponize' outsiders' preconceptions about the Midwest, using the setting to surprise audiences about what happens behind closed doors. At one point the project was a more direct dramatization of James Lasdun's New Yorker article "My Dentist's Murder Trial," which chronicled the 2015 criminal trial of dentist Dr.

Gilberto Nunez and described alleged affairs, an impersonation of a CIA officer, CCTV evidence, and traces of the sedative Midazolam in the deceased's body, per the article. Harbour was reportedly always set to portray the victim, and Pedro Pascal was originally attached as the killer before departing; why he left is unclear beyond possible scheduling conflicts.
