Deadlock's update hides Rem's secret bedroom in map vents
As of last week, Deadlock's Old Gods, New Blood update added a revamped map, a new mode, quality-of-life changes and a phased rollout of six characters — and players also found a hidden feature: a secret bedroom tucked behind vents on the updated map.
Players discovered the updated necromantic New York map had been peppered with small vents, crawlspaces and apertures that are too narrow for most heroes but clearly lead somewhere. Those tight passages appear across the streets and in the game's hub hideout.
The vents became navigable once Rem, the update's first character choice, was selected. PC Gamer describes Rem as a spritely dream-imp — an "accidental stowaway from the world of dreams," a nightcapped, candle-carrying crow-cat whose small size and sleep-themed kit let him squeeze into those narrow routes.
Following vent entrances next to the news desk or behind a breakable crate in the training gym leads to an environmental easter egg: Rem's bedroom. The pocket space contains snacks, books, cushions, a trio of helpers (one reading, one napping) and a spectral hand cranking a phonograph, all adding character to the hub.
PC Gamer notes the hidden room doesn't change core gameplay but bolsters Deadlock's atmosphere; the update will continue rolling out new characters according to player-driven choices, though further additions and details were not specified.
