Polygon reports that Death’s Door, an isometric action-adventure first released in July 2021, will leave Xbox Game Pass on January 31 after four years on the service.

You play as a voiceless crow wielding a sword and bow in a 10-hour adventure (more for completionists) that wears its Legend of Zelda influences openly while adding Soulsborne-like combat, dark humor, and a distinctive art and music style. The game sends you out from the Reaping Commission Headquarters to collect three Giant Souls, with fast, aggressive enemies, new weapons and abilities, and doors in the environments serving as checkpoints.

Despite some grave moments and a conspiracy tied to the ominous Lord of Doors, much of the game is gleefully silly — NPCs include a soup-pot-headed knight and a late-game food truck owner called Jefferson — while the narrative also meditates on mortality and delivers a cheerful indictment of capitalism. If you want to play it on Game Pass, it departs the service on January 31.
