Destiny 2's next major update delayed to June 9 — Gamesradar

Bungie has officially delayed Destiny 2's next major update, previously titled Shadow and Order, to June 9. The update had been slated for March 3; the studio's January announcement that its next shooter, Marathon, will release on March 5 raised early doubts about that timetable.

Bungie has since confirmed the update — which no longer carries the Shadow and Order name — is pushed back three-and-a-half months. Bungie thanked players for their patience and said it will share more information closer to launch, ending its statement with 'See You Starside.' The studio also said it will provide exact details closer to release covering previously announced Weapon Tier Upgrading, as well as additions like expanding Tiered Gear to all Raid and Dungeon activities, Pantheon 2.0, and Tier 5 stats for Exotic Armors.

Destiny 2's player base has been dwindling, with the Renegade update drawing series-low numbers on Steam and charts showing a steady decline in average and peak players.
