Devon Levesque has turned a 20‑acre property in Marlboro, N.J., into Sweet Honey Farm, a members‑only wellness center that combines a working farm, a high‑tech gym and communal spaces where he says he vets prospective members in a 50‑seat sauna. The grounds include a farmhouse, greenhouse, cafe, two chicken coops, a saltwater pool, a regulation‑size basketball court and a “longevity barn,” a converted barn outfitted as a gym.

Levesque says the farm grows about 100 types of vegetables using regenerative practices and that “nothing’s been sprayed on this property in at least 50 years.” Farm produce goes to the membership C.S.A. and excess is distributed to local restaurants and hotels, including 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge.

Sweet Honey Farm has 197 active members and, Levesque says, a waiting list of 14,000. He reports that about 40 percent of members live in nearby New Jersey, 40 percent make the hourlong drive from New York City, and the rest live farther away. Core members pay $620 per month; another 150 members pay $199 for digital access to Levesque’s one‑on‑one conversations, which have recently included appearances by business figures such as Nicolas Jammet of Sweetgreen and Lavinia Errico of Equinox.
