Die Hard Is Now Free to Stream on Tubi

The iconic 1980s action movie Die Hard is now streaming for free on Tubi, having been added to the platform on Feb. 1 alongside other action titles like Taken and Oldboy. While many watch the Bruce Willis-led film during the holidays, it remains a year-round favorite.

Bruce Willis stars as John McClane, a detective caught in the middle of a terrorist hostage situation on Christmas Eve who must take out the terrorists one by one while trying to salvage a failing relationship. The late Alan Rickman, as Hans Gruber, is widely regarded as stealing the show with a ruthless, sarcastic performance.

The cast also includes Bonnie Bedelia, Reginald VelJohnson, and William Atherton. Thirty-eight years on, Die Hard is still considered an action classic. It holds a joint 94% critics and audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with RT users praising "Bruce Willis' charisma," the "amazing plot and visuals," and some calling it the "greatest action movie of all time" and an "absolute classic." The franchise’s later entries fared less well with fans.
