Dimension 20: Gladlands premiered Jan. 7, 2026 on Dropout.tv and Dropout’s subscription YouTube channel, reframing a post-apocalyptic setting around manners and mutual support — even adopting the tagline, “The world might have ended, but manners didn’t.” The season opens with the party racing through a sandstorm to deliver thank-you notes to donors who participated in a blood drive, making a deliberate argument that the apocalypse doesn’t have to be cruel and survival doesn’t have to be violent.

Mechanically, Gladlands appears to use a modified version of the Kids on Bikes TTRPG system, emphasizing emotional and social traits over traditional stats. Characters roll for charm, warmth, creativity, awareness, resilience and determination; failures earn adversity tokens rebranded as “boo-boos” that can boost future rolls and are more effective when spent to help a friend.

GM Brennan Lee Mulligan has noted the rule was intentionally designed to reinforce kindness and mutual support. The cast’s characters reflect that philosophy. Jacob Wysocki plays KoKoMo, a towering, comforting figure described as “Snorlaxian” and “Totoroian.” Oscar Montoya’s Poppy Persona is a flamboyant drag queen who works for the History Heap and manages the group’s Truthbrary.

Montoya, who previously appeared in A Court of Fey & Flowers, told Polygon, “There was no fear going into this one,” and said he felt free to “make big swings” with his character knowing he’d be supported.
